Professor Rossella Fattori is current Director of Interventional Cardiology at Hospital Riuniti Marche Nord in Pesaro, Italy. Completing her medical education and radiology and cardiology residency at University Hospital S. Orsola in Bologna, she worked as a staff physician in the Catheterization Laboratory (1980–2001), serving as Director of the Cardiovascular Radiology Unit from 2001 to 2011. Her research interests include aortic disease, cardiac MRI and CT, and coronary and vascular interventions. She is Professor at the School of Medicine at the University of Bologna and teacher for Erasmus course of cardiovascular MRI.
Prof. Fattori is PI of several clinical trials and coordinator of national and international multicentric studies. She is founding member of the International Registry of Acute Aortic Dissection (IRAD), as well as board member and working group member on many national and international committees. Prof. Fattori is also a referee for the EU 7th Research Framework Programme. She has published more than 400 scientific articles and books.
